Corporate Football Events

Whether you call it football or soccer, the game is the same – and corporate football events can be a great way to get your company to work together outside the office in a sports environment.

Corporate soccer events or corporate football events can take place in any area of the world, but they are particularly favored in the United Kingdom, where football is a much more popular sport. These events often take place in the stadiums and parks of famous football teams, such as Carrow Road and Upton Park, located in England. These outings are great for companies that have many football fans, and can be used as both a moral booster and a reward.

The corporate football events available in the UK include such amenities as being able to use official gear, the players' entrances and locker rooms, professional videographers and time for 60 minute matches on the field. The “teams” can even print up embossed invitations for spouses and friends to watch them play on their famous football fields, even if just for an hour. Other corporate perks can include having former players come and mingle with the guests after the game.

While corporate football events may not seem very impressive to those of us in the United States, there are some equivalent events held in the US that companies can use to reward their clients and workers who are sports fans. Golf outings on some of the most famous courses, for example, are popular corporate events for many of the US's biggest companies. Other corporate sports events that are hands on include tennis matches and even sailing.

Corporate football events in the UK can involve watching the sport as well, as in the World Cup. So too can some corporate sporting events in the US be just about watching. Many companies in the US use trips to the Super Bowl, the World Series and other high level sporting events as rewards and incentives to their clients and workers in order to get them to either achieve a goal or come to a meeting either just prior to or just after the event. Some other examples include contests (incentive contests) to go to the Masters (golf) or regional meetings at playoff events – from basketball to baseball.

Whether in the form of corporate football events or other sporting events, there are many sporting ways within the corporate world to reward and drive the company forward.
